The staff were very helpful and the room was lovely. Most hotels in South Africa seem to rely on the sun to heat the pool so it was a bit cold on less sunny days but that's the only minus point I can think of, everything else was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.

Away from the busy and loud downtown...
The 2 rooms we ordered had no aircon, meaning no fresh air, rooms were old, bathrooms were durty, bedroom window had an amazing view to hotels concrete fence. room smelled terribly (due to lack of fresh air). This hotel would be luxury in Nigeria, but far below South African standard. Breakfast very poor, durty bar, expencive internet. Parking outside of hotel, meaning your can wake up and your car would not be there at all.

Room are not big but are comfortable, good beds, good shower and towels. Breakfast is very well prepared. Location is excellent, just one block from a nice swimming beach and near good restaurants and shoppings! It was used by us as a base to visit the region (Addo, Schotia, Jeffrey's Bay and a bit of Garden Route) and we thought it was a good choice and good value for money. We definetly recommend!
During our stay the hotel had a lack of staff as one lady from reception had left. There is a couple that maintains the hotel (they seem to live there) that tried their best to help, but they were not full prepared to handle the reception too. It didn't compromise the service at all.

It felt like home, which , if you are used to a good standard is difficult to find.
